Tuesday, 18 July at 6:00 p.m., we will hold a parent/teacher meeting in the parish hall. We need input from stakeholders about the programs and direction of children's formation for the coming academic year here at COOS. We know several of you are out of town then and cannot make it, but if you have thoughts or ideas about the topic, please share them with Alphus Spears before the meeting night by using our contact form.

What we envision discussing:

• What programs would parents like to have for their children?

• Do we continue status quo?

• Do we add new programs? Children's choir?

• Which children in which programs? Acolytes? Confirmation?

• What are the behavioural expectations: children, parents, teacher?

• At what times could those programs be?

• Status quo?

• Something during the early part of the Mass?

• Something on a different day/time?

• Who could implement those programs?

• How do we recruit people to assist with staffing the programs?

• Safeguarding Trainings

• Godly Play training

• Are there other ideas/concerns that stakeholders might have?

LASTLY...please remember that anyone who works with children is required to have the Safeguarding God's Children and/or Safeguarding God's People trainings (usually both). Mother Melanie and Sally Ulrey will lead training courses for both of those Saturday, 22 July here at COOS starting at 9:00. If you want to work with children and need to attend one or both of those trainings, please let Mother Melanie know using our contact form.
